2002 Mardi Gras Pictures

Eunice, February 9, 2002

Each year, the Liberty Theater in Eunice has shows at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. the Saturday before Mardi Gras. Meanwhile jam sessions are under way in front of the Acadiana Sounds Studio on Second Street. In 2002, Jesse Legé and the Southern Ramblers played at a street dance that night.

Shelton Manuel on fiddle and Wilson Savoy on accordion are shown at right during a jam session.
